As new parents, getting out for happy hour somewhere isn’t as easy as it used to be, but truth be told, enjoying happy hour at home is really our preference. We truly treasure the quiet time together, usually in our sunroom, but lately in our living room since the reps are already high. It’s basically a mini date night! We love to follow it up with an old movie…more to come on that in a throwback post!
Happy hour isn’t just about cocktails….an appetizer is definitely something that should be included and my husband and my favorite go-to happy hour appetizer is Roasted Garlic with Brie and crackers. This is so simple and only takes an hour of planning prior to when you plan on starting your happy hour, then you can sit back and enjoy your drink and your date!
What’s your favorite date night at home?
- 2 heads of garlic, outer skins peeled off, tops chopped off to expose garlic
- 2 T olive oil
- Preheat oven to 350. Place heads of garlic in enough foil that you can cover it entirely. Add 1T of oil in each aluminum packet and crinkle the foil shut. Place directly on rack for 45-60 min, or until exposed garlic turns golden brown.
