A few weeks ago I featured Loos Family’s Pinot Noir which was fantastic. Well, this week I’m lucky enough to present to you another Loos Family winner…their 2013 Sauvignon Blanc. I had the pleasure of trying bottle #175 out of 300.
The grapes for this variety come from the Russian River Valley and don’t disappoint. It’s crisp, light and slightly fruity and true to the tasting notes. “This uniquely-styled wine reveals a transparent, medium plus straw color with pretty perfume, citrus peel and flowery aromas that merge with a plus mouth feel upon entry. Palate includes hints of pineapple with refreshingly present grapefruit and Meyer lemon along with shy tropical fruit notes of papaya, mango and honeydew mekong and a whispered suggestion of vanilla. Medium finish. Tart refreshing acidity. Serve chilled (about 45 degrees Fahrenheit).”
