On Sunday we enjoyed our family day by hitting Half Moon Bay. If you haven’t been there before, it’s truly a small coastal community. On the two lane road in there are farms, Christmas tree farms, nurseries, flowers, a winery…it’s tree lined and just makes me smile. My favorite place is Sam’s Chowderhouse which is smack on the beach. They’re known for their lobster rolls (OMG) but I have a secret crush on their lobster ceviche which is to die for.
Anyway…let’s get to the wine that I had with all of my lobster. There were three rosé’s to choose from so I chose the middle…not too highly priced, not the lowest since I wasn’t familiar with any of the choices. It simply said Miraval Provence, so I knew at least it was from France.
The color was a beautiful light pink, almost with a peachy hue. The taste…out of this world. I was loving it from the first sip. It was slightly fruity and not dry. I loved it. The Miraval Provence website states “A beautiful light pink color, fresh fruit aromas and refreshing acidity.” I was impressed, so next I had to use my awesome Google powers and find out where I could buy this wine. Oh but wait…who owns this winery??? Brad and Angelina!!! Holy cow you guys, you know your wine! It’s currently up for sale of course, but let’s hope whoever takes it over, ensures this wine continues to get made!
I found it online at TotalWine.com (which recently opened up just a few miles from me!) for under $19! This is a total find and I will be heading out to get some of my own…even though we are currently overflowing with wine and I need to start researching more wine racks!
